"Rainbow Bridge" is a very fitting title, a song for this time - it made me cry during mixing. My heart-mind filled with beauty and pain and wonder as I listened, as the music of sadness and longing and Grace came together, as it over-powered me during 100 listens. Bittersweet ... such is life.

Listening to its lean stillness filled my heart with profound gratitude for the Gift of Life, but the recognition of our fragile delicacy also shocked me. Life can leave any of us in a moment. We may look like we're still here, but we're not. That truly magical energy - Spirit - "has left the building," has left the body. In these challenging times, we, the living, are surrounded by the brutal awareness of our own fragility, and that of our loved ones.

This track, "Rainbow Bridge," sings of love and transition, of the Mystery we are alive IN, the Mystery we are alive AS. Of beauty and sorrow and pain. Of memories and of Presence. Of the Precious Gift of Life.

"Rainbow Bridge" floats on the ethers, even as our hearts pulse blood. It's a 13-minute contemplation, a deep dive into mortality, and a reminder that WE are still alive, that WE are able to be moved by listening to Spirit's whispers as they come to us through music. I want it played at my funeral. May all being be blessed. ♥️
